Wow, so this is a huge surprised. Many gamers actually figured Alienware would be absorbed, not XPS. Considering the financial investments made this is totally a shocker. Also because I am an XPS Owner of the 1710 portable.
Dell Inspirons leaked, Promise slick design - Dell's next design change for its Inspiron lineup will involve a radical overhaul meant to lure customers from fashion-conscious brands, according to a leak published today by Engadget. The 14-inch Inspiron 1435, 15.4-inch 1535, and 17-inch 1735 will all take their visual cues from the tapered, more upscale XPS line and will be the first to have a unique, edge-to-edge LCD that eliminates the thick side bezels that often surround notebooks. Woody from GUCOMICS also made a memorial comic for the king of RPG's:

This is very sad for all role-playing gamers around the world. I actually had the pleasure of meeting Gary a few times in my life and was a very intelligent person.
Razer Piranha Gaming Communicator - Sure, it says 'Gaming Communicator', but it really means 'headset'. Has Razer, one of the leading peripheral designers, lost the plot? Or is the Piranha really so good that it needs a new title to help stand out from the crowd? [Bit-Tech News]
Ouch, looks like the headphones got a bad review.
Here go some of the key points on the bad:
- Naturally, it was downhill a bit from there and it ended up taking Rich and I about twenty minutes to get the Piranha unpacked completely. It shouldn’t take two expert box unpackers that long to get some headphones out of a box, but the massively long cable on the Piranha complicated matters a little.

Rock Band Stage Kit with lights, smoke leaked by GameStop - Filed under: Gaming, Peripherals
digg_url = 'http://digg.com/gaming_news/Rock_Band_Stage_Kit_with_lights_smoke_leaked_by_GameStop'; As if playing Rock Band wasn't one of the greatest group gaming experiences to come along in years, it appears that a new accessory is set to amp up the fun even more by bringing an "interactive light and smoke stage show" to your already thrashing performances. Apparently you can already pre-order this so-called Rock Band Stage Kit from GameStop for 100 bucks, although they've since pulled the box image from the product page, so you'll have to rely on the screencap above to see what you're paying all that money for. Ships on June 23rd, according to the retailer's site, giving us plenty of time to install a proper stage and stadium seating in our game room.[Via Technabob] Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments [Engadget Gaming News]
Developer Leak: World of Warcraft for Consoles - Gameplayer is reporting that a developer has leaked in an interview that World of Warcraft is, after all, coming to consoles.
"To date, it (World of Warcraft) is an experience only enjoyed by PC gamers. Until now… A bigwig with connections to the highest levels of Vivendi management has seemingly confirmed that World of Warcraft is coming to consoles."
NOTE: Obviously this is still categorized as a rumor at this point. [News 4 Gamers]
Heya all,
So was looking at Foxnews and I noticed the following:
Online Game Meetings Sometimes End Tragically, but Phenomenon Remains Rare
In some ways, I can see this happening but this is a very old blame the game but not the parents. This nonsense was started when D&D came out and now WOW.
I have been around online games for over 12 years and I can say that I have seen dating, marriages, and even divorces from gaming but never murder. If this happened and the parents didnt see this coming than its the parents fault for not paying more attention to their children. It is easy to point a finger at an online game but not themselves.
Morning everyone,
I was reading some of the news and found that Dell is going to be offering a special edition version of the 1730 with the World of Warcraft paintjob, and it appears you can choose between Horde or Alliance.
South Park to Take on Guitar Hero - Wednesday's episode shines a light on 'Guitar Queer-O.' [1UP PC Gaming News]
Well, if the South Park team does the same great job as they did with World of Warcraft, this should be a incredibly funny show.
Go check it out on November 7th.
